My New Look my new collection of summer

After a seemingly endless winter, it looks like summer is finally on its way.

But sunny skies and rising temperatures do more than make our environment a pleasant place. They also provide some very significant benefits to our health and wellbeing.

Sunlight helps to regulate almost all our bodily processes, as well as acting as psychological encouragement to improve our lifestyle.

Here, we bring you the top ten reasons why the summer is just what the doctor ordered.

1. Reduces chance of heart attacks

Research indicates that you are less likely to die of a heart attack in the summer than in the winter.

In a study of almost 11,000 people who had heart attacks in the UK over a period of nine years, survival rate increased by 19 per cent if the attack occurred in the summer.

Higher levels of Vitamin D - which is synthesised by sunlight - are also thought to play a protective part in those who suffer heart attacks.

It's also good news for those with high cholesterol. Ultraviolet light converts cholesterol to Vitamin D. Therefore, getting out in the sun is a good way to lower cholesterol levels, reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke.

Research has also shown that sunlight plays a vital role in fighting many chronic illnesses. A deficiency of Vitamin D - essential for the absorption of calcium - is associated with diseases such as osteoporosis.

Several studies have also shown that ovarian, breast and colon cancers are slowed by exposure to sunlight.

2. People eat more fruit

Rising temperatures and increased availability of summer fruits make it easier to fulfil the recommended quota of eating five portions of fruit and vegetables a day.

Sarah Schenker, of the British Nutrition Foundation, says many summer berries such as blackcurrants and strawberries are high in Vitamin C and contain phytochemicals, whose antioxidant activity helps prevent chronic diseases such as cancer.

They also boost the immune system and, because of their low calorie content, help with weight loss.

Calorie intake in general is lower in the summer because increased body temperature makes us less likely to reach for the sugary and fatty comfort food we use in the winter to stave off the cold.

3. Relieves skin complaints

Controlled exposure to the sun's ultraviolet rays can have a therapeutic effect on skin complaints such as acne, psoriasis and dermatitis.

Dr Ian White, consultant dermatologist at St Thomas's Hospital in London, says many skin disorders are caused by an over-sensitive immune system. UV rays reduce that sensitivity.

It is better to walk around in daylight rather than sitting directly exposed to the sun for any length of time because sunburn remains a key factor in causing skin cancer.

The therapeutic effects of the sun occur just below the level of turning skin red. Most fair skins can tolerate up to 15 minutes of direct exposure before the skin turns pink.

After that, lotion with a sun protection factor of between 15 and 30 should be worn.

4. Increases agility

The summer is an excellent time to begin an exercise programme. Not only do summer clothes provide an incentive to get the body in shape, but the feel-good factor created by sunlight boosts our enthusiasm to begin a fitness regime.

Exercise is not only the most effective way to burn up excess calories, but also improves the vital flow of oxygen to the brain, lowering stress levels and improving powers of concentration.

Louise Brooks, regional director for health club chain LA Fitness, suggests aiming for 20 minutes of aerobic exercise, such as brisk walking or swimming, three times a week.

The warm weather is also good news for those suffering from arthritis. Many people feel more agile and in less pain during the summer.

5. Increases our water consumption

Water is vital to thousands of chemical processes that take place in the body's cells to enable it to function. These include promoting digestion, regulating body temperature, improving the health and vitality of our skin and flushing toxins from the body.

In the summer months we are more inclined to drink the recommended two litres of water a day needed for optimum health.

The more fluid your body loses the more

you need to drink, so take regular sips of water throughout the day. Limit tea, coffee and cola drinks to three a day.

6. Reduces DVT risk

The warmer days of summer are good news for those at risk of thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.

Doctors say a spell of warm weather helps blood vessels enlarge, allowing blood to circulate better.

7. Helps migraine sufferers

Canadian doctors running trials testing the link between weather and migraines have concluded that clear, sunny and dry weather reduces attacks of migraine. However, if the weather turns muggy, watch out because the symptoms may return.

8. Effects on diabetes

Doctors have found that climate fluctuations can account for increased rates of insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM).

Statistics show this form of diabetes is less common in hot countries near the equator. One theory for this is that the amount of daylight may influence either insulin action or the cocktail of hormones that regulate insulin production.

This seasonal effect seems to be most pronounced in IDDM patients in the age range of five to 15. Males seem more susceptible than females.

People's eating habits are different in the summer and winter. The types of foods, the total calories consumed and the timing of the meals all vary with the seasons. Most people, including diabetics, tend to eat extra fresh fruit when they become available in the summer. This has an important effect on their insulin levels.

9. Prevents hip fractures

A healthy dose of sunshine could prevent older women from fracturing their hips, according to researchers at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

They found that half of postmenopausal women admitted to the hospital with hip fractures had low levels of Vitamin D, which is boosted by sunlight.

The risk of post-menopausal women developing hip fractures is thought to be equal to the combined risk of developing breast, ovarian and uterine cancer, and up to 24 per cent of women can die in the first year after suffering a hip fracture.

The research, published in The Journal Of The American Medical Association, suggests Vitamin D could be an important supplement for patients with weakened bones.

The vitamin is also found in cheese, butter, margarine, cream, fortified milk, fish, oysters and fortified cereals.

10. Helps to regulate sleep disorders

Waking up to the sun and getting early-morning exposure to its light can help those suffering from sleep disorders such as insomnia.

This is because sunlight helps the body's internal biological clock reset itself. Sleep experts recommend exposure to an hour of sunlight between 7am and 9am each morning to help those who have problems getting to sleep at night.....

My New Cosmetics Products....

My new surprise gift from Health and glow all are my fav brand Best products...

Ask a girl what makeup article she absolutely cannot live without and she will without a moment’s hesitation say ‘Kajal!’ It doesn’t matter what kind of a girl she is, kajal is a basic necessity. It’s miraculous how a single streak ofkajal on the eyes can completely change her entire look.

Puffy eyes or dark circles somehow just seem to vanish with one line of the kajal. It has become so important in our lives now that it can’t even be considered as make-up. It has become a part of our skin, our eyes. With so many women using kajal sticks, there is a lot of variety available in the online market that give you beautiful looking eyes in just a couple hundred bucks. However, if you are looking for prestige and niche brands all at one place, then ‘Aplava.com’ would be the best choice to find unparalleled assortment of elite brands that are cherry picked by their Beauty Advisors.

Now if I tell you that you could get these products at highly discounted rates, ‘please tell me soon’! – this would be your most obvious reaction. Well ladies, collect voucher codes from Sheroes, an ultimate career destination for female professionals, by simply signing up on their website. Now enjoy incredible discount by applying these codes. Happy shopping!

One of these extremely useful and wondrous products is Lakme’s Eyeconic. This little magic stick is water-proof, doesn’t smudge, stays on for 10 hours (or more if you don’t try to take it off) and is skin friendly. What else do you need from kajal anyway?

The kajal is deep black and runs in smooth lines so that you can apply your eye makeup without struggling too much for the perfect shape. The intense black colour, and the smoothness of the strokes makes it a better option amongst competitors.

And because it is so easy to apply, there are many strokes you can experiment with for a different look every day. Here are 3 looks I’ve tried that even you can get easily with Lakme Eyeconic Kajal stick.

This fierce look is great for parties. It’s just the look that’ll inspire respect for you in the eyes of guys and a little bit of wondrous intimidation in the eyes of all the spectators. This one exudes nothing but confidence and sexiness.

For something that can be done on a daily basis, there’s the upper eye lash makeup. All you have to do is glide the kajal stick on your upper eye lids and wing it a little at the end. After that, a little bit of fluttering those gorgeous lashes will have butterflies fluttering in any guy’s tummy who sets his eyes on yours.

On those lazy days when makeup feels like too much work, but you still need a saving grace, low lash wonder comes to your rescue. It’s extremely easy and makes you look presentable enough on no makeup days.

Lakme Sun Expert UV Lotion SPF 50 PA+++ Review

Dermatologist Tested: An expert solution that has been tested by a skin specialist. Hypoallergenic and Non-Comedogenic: will not cause allergies or pimples.

Usage: For External use only. Smooth onto face and exposed part of the skin at least 20 minutes before sun exposure. Re-apply after every 3-4 hours for maximum broad spectrum.

Ingredients:

Aqua, Zinc Oxide, PEG-10Dimethicone, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone crosspolymer, Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, Potassium chloride, Caprylyl Methicone, Glycerine, Magnesium Sulfate, Heptahydrate, Disteardimonium Hectirite, Perfume, Sucrose distearate, Disodium EDTA, Propylene Glycol, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus (lemongrass) extract, cucumis sativis (cucumber) fruit juice, Lactic Acid, DMDM Hydantoin, Iodopropynyl Butyl Carbamate.

As stated, the experience was horrible. The pack says “Suits Normal to Dry skin” but truly it suits “oily skin” the best. So according to my sister, this made her skin control excess oil and sweat. Her skin felt shine free. The lotion got fully absorbed within a minute, feeling very light on skin with no stickiness. It did save her from sun-burns and darkening of skin.

Packaging: Lakme Sun Expert UV Lotion SPF 50 PA+++ comes in a yellow colored cardboard outer packaging and yellow inner tube. The product comes out from a long nozzle shaped mouth that ejaculates enough lotion required for face and neck. It has a screw top opening which is very tight. All in all, the packaging is very travel-friendly.

Color: The lotion is matte white in color, but when spread subtle shimmers can be seen somewhere.

Smell: The smell is somewhat weird. Apart from having ingredients like the Lemon Grass and Cucumber, the lotion smells of chemicals and I just hate it.

Texture: The texture is very heavy and is difficult to spread. It takes 2-3 minutes to get absorbed but leaves a whitish cast behind that I hate. I have Normal to dry skin, so thought that it may suit my sister’s oily skin and oh yes! It did suit her well and made her T-Zone shine free.

Pros of Lakme Sun Expert UV Lotion SPF 50 PA+++:
Suits oily skin best.
Absorbs fully.
Saves from sun-burns and darkening of skin.
Price is reasonable for 15ml.
Contains SPF 50 PA+++
Non-sticky.
Packaging is travel-friendly.
Paraben free.
Not tested on animals.
Will not cause allergies.
Did not break me out.
Contains cucumber and Lemon grass extract.
Control oil and sweat.
Makes skin shine free.
Feels light on skin.

Cons of Lakme Sun Expert UV Lotion SPF 50 PA+++:
Does not suit Normal to Dry Skin.
Leaves white cast behind.
Feels heavy on dry skin.

Sun Care Tips:

1. Apply
sunscreen at least 20 minutes before you step out.

2. Always keep a sunscreen handy in your bag so you can re-apply after every 2-3 hours for maximum protection

3. Wear a sunscreen every day, all year around even on a cloudy day, when sun rays can penetrate through the clouds and harm your skin.

4. Know the SPF AND PA appropriate for your skin type and time of exposure to the skin.

VLCC Wild Turmeric Face Wash Review

Hello friends,

I am among those girls who are never loyal to a single brand face wash; I love switching brands lol. That is how the other brands will earn. I got this facewash from VLCC a month ago and it claimed to have turmeric and honey which are really healthy for skin so thought of giving it a shot. I was just looking out for new stuff in the store and I glanced through the shelf and this was there. I had never seen this one before so picked it up...

What VLCC claims about VLCC Wild Turmeric Face Wash?

The Wild Turmeric Face Wash is a natural cleanser with pure honey and turmeric. It has antiseptic properties that protect your skin from daily damage. It removes microbes & pollutants from the pores leaving skin fresh & tingling.

Methods of use: Apply a small amount of the cleanser on moist face and neck. Massage gently with your fingertips & rinse thoroughly. Can be used round the year...

For best results: Use twice daily. For smooth supple skin follow with VLCC Honey Moisturiser.

My experience with VLCC Wild Turmeric Face Wash:

Having a glance at all the possible shelves in a store is like the most exciting thing to do. Even if I don’t want anything I’ll go through all the shelves and end up buying a bag full of products. Talking about this one, it comes in a plastic tube like all the face-washes. The tube being transparent; we can easily make out that how much product is left. It has a flip open cap which at times hurt fingers while opening. The tube is on a fatter side so it will occupy a lot of space in your bag if at all you want to carry it. This earlier used to come in a beige coloured bottle but now they have changed the packaging and made it beautiful looking. The consistency is like a gel and is runny too. It comes in a yellow gel and only a pea-sized amount is needed to wash the entire face at once.

The smell is somewhat on a floral side. The fragrance is really refreshing and I enjoy washing my face with this before leaving for college as it is very energizing indeed. The fragrance will last till you wash your face and then slowly it will start fading off. The face wash lathers like soap and I don’t know why but I feel like they have put soap in the face wash too. It is a pure cleaning face wash which helps to remove impurities and does nothing else other than that. After rinsing it off and wiping off the face; still my face feels like I have washed it with soap and not a face wash. It left my skin smooth but not like the other face washes did...

I have oily skin still it made my skin dry; imagine what it would do to dry skin? It comes into the category of average face washes and does nothing special actually don’t you think we can get a better stuff for Rs 135 than this one?

Pros of VLCC Wild Turmeric Face Wash:

-Refreshing lemon fragrance
-Affordable
-Available everywhere
-Looks attractive
-Claims to have honey and turmeric which are very good for the skin
-Lathers very well
-Will help remove impurities from the skin and make it clean..

I find it good now depend on others and there skin type...

Fathers Day Celebration...

All About Father's Day

Father's Day isn't just a day for dads to get more ties. It's celebrated on the third Sunday of June to honor dads, grandfathers, step-dads and all men who act as a father figure. Like most holidays that go way back, the origin is hard to trace but most people will agree that Sonora Dodd played a big part in starting the holiday. This year Father's Day is June 18th, 2017!

A Little Father's Day History

Sonora Louise Smart Dodd first brought up the idea of a father's day in 1909. She wanted a special day to honor her father, William Smart. When Sonora's mother died in childbirth with her sixth child, William was left to raise the newborn and five other children by himself on a farm in Washington state. As an adult, Sonora realized how strong and unselfish her dad had been raising his kids as a single parent.

Sonora wanted Father's Day to be celebrated on the first Sunday in June, because it was close to her dad's birthday. Instead, the first Father's Day celebration took place on June 19, 1910 in Spokane, Washington. In 1966, President Lyndon Johnson made the third Sunday of June Father's Day. It wasn't until 1972 that President Richard Nixon made Father's Day a national holiday - about 60 years after Mother's Day had been made a national holiday.

Olacabs hacked again! Hackers get access to credit card, transaction details
In today's information age, the rapid development of technology has given more wings to cyber criminals as now they come up with even more frightening attack strategies than ever before. And if hackers get access to your credit card and transaction history, what can be scarier than that?
As per a new report by NextBigWhat, Ola Cabs has been hacked by a hacker group which has posted the database structure of the biggest cab provider in India. The hackers, on Reddit, claimed to have an access to the user details as well as credit card transaction history. Isn't that frightening?

The hacker group stated that, "Their Application design is very poor and their development server is weakly configured. The hack was a little tricky and involved many steps to get to the database. Once we got to the database it was like winning a lottery. It had all the user details along with credit card transaction history and unused vouchers. The voucher codes are not even out yet."

Calling themselves Team Unknown, these hackers have assured the users that they would not be using credit card details and voucher codes.

The hackers also posted the snapshots of the database structure of taxi rider, raising a question on the security team of Ola Cabs.
However, a Ola Cabs spokesperson stated, "There has been no security lapse, whatsoever to any user data. The alleged hack seems to have been performed on a staging environment when exposed for one of our test runs. The staging environment is on a completely different network compared to our production environment, and only has dummy user values exclusively used for internal testing purposes."

The spokesperson further stated, "We confirm that there has been no attempt by the hackers to reach out to us in this regard. Security and privacy of customer data is paramount to us at Ola."

Happy Eid mubarak...

Eid or Eid-ul-Fitr is the greatest festival of the Muslims. The Muslims, all over the world, celebrate it with great pomp and show, zeal and gusto.
This festival marks the end of Ramadan. Ramadan is a holy month of fasting. The Muslims observe fasts for a full month after sighting the moon of ‘Ramzan’. When the month of ‘Ramzan’, is over and the moon of Eid is sighted, they end their Roja (fasts). In this way, the Muslims break their month-long fast. The next day, the festival of Eid is celebrated. Every year it comes off on the first day of the month of Shawwal. It is a day of gaiety, festivity and feasting.
It is a believed that fasting in the month of ‘Ramzan’ purifies the soul. The prayers after fasting save them from going to hell and open the doors of heaven. Thus, they lead a pure and holy life during the month of ‘Ramzan’. They observe fasts, offer regular prayers in the form of ‘Namaz’; read the holy Koran, feed the hungry and give alms to the poor. Charity is the greatest virtue to be practiced during the month of ‘Ramzan’. Fasting comes to an end when the new moon of Eid is sighted. The sight of the new moon of Eid is considered very pious and holy by the Muslims. It is a signal for the celebration of Eid the very next day.
On the Eid day, Muslim people get up early in the morning. They take a bath and put on their best dresses. Houses are decorated. They thank Allah, visit mosques and offer prayers in the form of ‘Namaz’. They embrace one another and exchange Eid greetings. ‘Eid Mubarak’ is on the lips of each Muslim. Sweets are distributed, gifts are given and delicious dishes are prepared at home. Friends and relatives are invited to feasts. Sweet noodles are the most popular dish cooked on this day. At some places, Eid fairs are also held. Eid greetings are exchanged by one and all. Children buy toys and sweets.
In India, all communities join the Muslims in celebrating Eid. Sweets are shared and greetings exchanged by all. The Hindus, Sikhs and Christians greet their Muslim brothers on this day. The celebration of Eid promotes national integration and the feeling of brotherhood. Joys are doubled when they are shared. Eid brings a message of brotherhood for all of us.
It is a festival of love and goodwill. It gives us a message to love all and hate none. It teaches us to embrace all men as brothers. Separated lovers hope to meet on this day. It exhorts us to bid goodbye to hatred, jealousy and enmity and bring in an era of love, sympathy and brotherhood......
